Fargen Bastage - single-ended Class A head

Single-ended Class A head. One preamp tube; one output tube. EF86 preamp gives the amp a smooth and mild breakup. Simple amp that sounds great.

As an amplifier, it is simple and pure. Solid wood cabinet and built like a tank. Never one issue in over 10 years. Handwired and all the soldering is top-notch.

Sounds best cranked. Perfect for practice, solo, or recording environments. I've found that a Keeley Katana Boost or a Subdecay Liquid Sunshine are amazing tools to take this amp over the top when cranked.

I purchased this amp new in 2005 and I am the only owner. I sent it back to Ben Fargen once and he widened the sweep of the Tone control. Previously, it acted as a treble cut only (reducing treble as the knob was dialed back). I asked that he make it a plus/minus (add or subtract) style control and he did. Makes this amp a one-of-a-kind. Buyer will have the choice of any two power tubes from my collection. Please contact me for options.
