About This Listing

This birch top was selected especially for its chatoyance, that elusive quality of some wood that allows light reflection, also known as “cat’s eye.” It can be seen as a chevron running down the middle of the guitar. I wanted it to be featured so I made the face as uncluttered as possible, using a single Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup. The result is a surprisingly versatile instrument that croons along with the best jazz and rock tones, yet can be overdriven for more aggressive styles. I made the cherry neck with Hipshot locking tuners, TusQ string tree and nut for accurate and stable tuning and loaded the birdseye maple 24.625” scale fretboard with 24 stainless steel micropolished frets for a lifetime of smooth playing. The back of the body is chambered yellow cedar from a nearby island. #169 of the instruments handmade in my riverside Alaskan workshop, it is fully guaranteed and comes with free insured shipping in a new case.
