Sigma
DT-4 Guitar by Martin Vintage SunBurst 1970 S/N - 88100397
Great Sounding,
Excellent Guitar, Sigma's were made by Martin overseas, I believe
this Guitar was made in Korea. Under Martin Standards, at a much
lower cost, in the 1970's Due to the popularity for a lower cost
Martin, sales of the Top of the line, dropped. So Martin stopped
having Sigmas made and sold the name around the end of
1970's.
“Sigma Guitars Est. 1970” Engraved in gold
lettering on the head stock. Dreadnought shape Maple back and sides.
The actual build date would be in the 1970's, Martin has since sold
the Sigma Name, and they are still being made. But this is a Vintage
Sigma, again: Made to Martin Standards.
It is in Great shape: The Neck is straight, Frets are solid, and the Tuners have a smooth action. New Phosphor Bronze “Light” Strings have been installed. String to Fret gap is 1st Fret .020 - 12th Fret .075, easy to play. There are a few small nicks, and a scratch on the front. See Pictures. New Bone: Nut / Bridge / and Pins with pearl inlay, have been installed to enhance the Look and Sound. I am offering this Rare Sigma at $350.00 with the Leaf Engraved Hard Case. Plus Shipping USPS is set at $ 59.00.
