Description:
Up for sale is a preowned 2019 Eastman E10D Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar with its original Eastman hardshell case. The E10D is Eastman's traditional mahogany dreadnought, built with all-solid tonewoods and a solid Adirondack spruce top over solid mahogany back and sides. This earlier example also has Eastman's thin nitrocellulose finish rather than the TruTone finish used on later production. It has also been upgraded with an L.R. Baggs HiFi pickup system for high-quality amplified use.
The E10D features a solid Adirondack spruce top with hand-carved scalloped X-bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck with Eastman's Traditional Even C profile. The ebony fingerboard has a 12" radius, 20 Jescar frets, and pearl dot inlays. Other traditional appointments include a 25.4" scale length, 1-3/4" bone nut, ebony bridge with bone saddle, ebony bridge pins, tortoise-style binding and pickguard, and open-gear PingWell tuning machines. The body is finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, while the neck has a satin nitrocellulose finish.
The guitar has been upgraded with an L.R. Baggs HiFi acoustic pickup system. Unlike a conventional undersaddle piezo, the HiFi uses a pair of lightweight bridge-plate transducers mounted beneath the bridge to capture both string and body response. The system feeds an active endpin preamp and includes discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls. It retains the guitar's traditional acoustic appearance while adding a versatile amplified option.
This example is in excellent condition and presents very cleanly overall, showing little evidence of previous use. There are only minimal signs of normal handling, with no significant dings, scratches, finish damage, or other cosmetic issues to point out. The L.R. Baggs HiFi system has been tested and is working properly. The original Eastman hardshell case is included.
