For decades, the Miraphone 186 has arguably been the world's most popular professional tuba, and this mid-1980's specimen is a fantastic representation of that legacy.   This 4/4 size tuba is pitched in the key of C, which is the standard for American orchestral use. It sports a .772" bore and a 17.75" yellow brass bell with a nickel-silver garland -- a combination that allows for a tremendously broad sound that doesn't lose focus or projection when played at higher volumes. This model has 5 rotary valves in a 4 1 configuration.   The clear lacquer finish is roughly 95% intact. There are several scratches and minor dents throughout the horn, but nothing that impacts its playability or mechanics.   Includes a hard-shell flight case equipped with casters. Ships by Freight truck.
