Custom Hand-Built guitar made with exotic woods, high-end hardware, and high-performance electronics. Beautiful Purpleheart body is hollowed out and capped with a flame maple top and a 2 piece Bubinga pickguard and control plate. This beauty is finished in a super smooth hand-rubbed natural oil finish to bring out the beautiful grain and color of these exotic woods. The 22 fret neck is Birdseye Maple finished in a super-smooth oil finish.
This guitar is another one of my designs that I refer to as my "Sollow-Body" hybrid design. For this guitar, the Purpleheart body has been hollowed out with the exception of a block left under the bridge and bridge pickup area. The Maple top is then attached to the body only around the outer edges and at the bridge block. The bridge pickup is mounted in the bridge block giving it solid body tones while the neck and middle pickups are mounted in the hollowed out body giving even more sweet tonal offerings.
The off-set body is very nicely balanced and very comfortable to play, both standing up or sitting down. The body is thicker than S-style guitars to enhance the "Sollow-Body" design. It weighs in at 8 1/2 lbs. using a digital postal scale. Like I say, it is very well balanced and comfortable to play.
The hardware is gold plated and features Hipshot locking tuners and a Hipshot high mass bridge with string-through body that gives this guitar wonderful sustain (both made in USA!). These do provide very stable tuning.
The high-performance electronics consist of a Seymour Duncan pickups featuring SSL-1 Vintage Staggered Strat pickups in the neck and middle positions and a hotter SSL-5 in the bridge position as well as CTS pots and 5-way pickup selector. These were actually all taken from a brand new pre-wired Seymour Duncan loaded pickguard.
This guitar sounds as good as it looks! Imagine a high performance Strat style guitar and then add in some semi-hollow body tones and now you're ready to dial in all the sweet tones you've been searching for. This beauty truly is a pleasure to play.
This guitar is being sold as used but it has not been played much at all. It is in excellent condition. I am the person who built this guitar and I am the only owner. This guitar was never played out at gigs or subjected to other such wear and tear. There is a closeup picture of the fretboard and frets. The frets are in great condition and were cleaned and polished prior to offering it for sale here.
This guitar will be shipped in a very nice quality Gator gig bag. This is nicely padded and has firm outer padding that provides better protection than the cheaper gig bags. (The newer versions of this type of gig bag all appear to be priced well over $100 even from the discount stores.)

Shipping is a flat fee of $70 for the lower 48 US states only. (I just got major sticker shock when UPS wants to charge over $120 to ship a guitar to the west coast.) Alaska and Hawaii shipping will be based on my actual cost. Will consider international shipping and those shipping fees would also be based on actual cost. (I've had very good success with shipping for Canada for both the fees and the delivery time.)
