WFL/ Ludwig 1948-52 Vintage Kit White Marine Pearl

Here we have a late 40’s/early 50’s WFL “Buddy Rich Outfit” bass drum, snare drum, high tom, and floor tom, all in White Marine Pearl.

Their sizes are as followed, (depthXdiameter) 14X26 bass drum, 6.5X14 snare, 9X13 high tom, 16X16 floor tom.

The heads have been replaced on two toms to modern Remo and ludwig heads on both sides. The bass drum comes with it’s ORIGINAL CALF SKIN HEADS, in very good condition.

Overall this drum set is in EXCELLENT SHAPE!!! There are some very minor issues that you would expect to have on any drum set this old. small amounts of pitting on some of the lugs, the bass drum hoops could use a coat of paint and the WMP wrap has yellowed slightly. The 13" has yellowed a bit more than the other drums. All these are things you would expect to see on any drum set of this age. Other than that, this thing in great condition because it has only had 3 owners who all took care of it and was never played it out.

In addition to the drums themselves you will also receive the detachable bass drum spurs, a Ludwig bass drum pedal, and the canvas bags that they came in.

The high tom also comes with an original mount that attaches to the bass drum hoop to hold the tom up. It works fine, but I personally always just put the tom on a snare stand.

I bought this kit from Reverb originally and shared many of the same photos as it has remained untouched since I bought it. Shipping will be expensive so a local pick up is preferred and recommended.
