Hofner Club 60 Model 128 guitar ( 1959-60 ?)
This lovely guitar has been with me since 1979- I have been meaning to repair it, and life and time have had other ideas. So now I have all the parts to put this back together- all you need is skill and time. I was not the person who started this project - I just took it over and lost interest+ time.I am including sharp photos of the instrument so that you can see everything that is involved. The neck popped off before I had it- and then I took it all apart- I believe that I have all the parts- I do not have the two mother of pearl inlays that were in the neck. I am showing the side of the instrument where there is some separation of the top maple laminate- seems to have bubbled a little. This like this in 2-3 spots. Pick guard-has a little bow.I heard this guitar at one point- so I am confident that the electronics are working- although dusty! Please ask for any additional photos or details that I may have left out. I have the original case as well- and it is also in a state of slowly falling apart as it seems like maybe a glorified cardboard/ chipboard combo. This is a great project for the luthier who has the skill. Not sure of the exact date as I can not find any numerical markings- but I believe it is somewhere between 1959-60 ish- this was purchased in the UK in the 70's. I have included a photo of an identical instrument that I found online to show the completed guitar- Note it is not my instrument- just a similar one.
