Yes, this guitar is nuts in so many ways. At the last NAMM show we sold a few of these and this was the last one left. The Talbo is a Tokai original and it's one of the most expensive guitars in the catalog, especially with this finish. The body is cast aluminum alloy AC-4B and the rainbow finish just pushes this one over the top.
It features a Wilkinson tremolo (arm included), Sprague Orange Drop caps, Switchcraft jack, and Tokai LWH pickups. And the pickguard is see-through! The guitar itself is in very good condition. The nature of these bodies is that there is some pitting on the bodies and then these are polished and finished. The nickel plated models are a bit smoother but these "finished" bodies show more of the rawness. I looked this over a few times and I did see some wear marks and nicks here and there but nothing that's offensive or really bad. It's basic handling marks. This Talbo was one of many 2019 NAMM show guitars that I brought back with me to the east coast.
A new gig bag and all accessories/tools/arm are included. This was made in Japan and uses high quality Japanese-sourced components.
I've been representing Tokai here in the states since 2014 and usually carry a few different models. I also take a lot of special orders and custom options. Tokai instruments are really fine guitars being made with care in a small factory that still owned and operated by the grandson of the founder. Tokai has been making guitars since the late 60s and still have some of the original employees! They use a lot of old wood that's been properly cured and they really take pride in their products!
