My luthier sold this to me 15 or 20 years ago. Not sure of the year but
it has the patent number stamped into the pickup on the back, not the
sticker. He told me it was a 70s and I'm sure he'd know. It's the Les
Paul Deluxe type as opposed to the firebird type, which IMO is much more
desirable. Very warm and punchy. My meter is analog so I can't get a
very accurate measurement. It seems to measure about 6.5Kohms. In any
case, the output is excellent and sounds pretty fat. Sweet,
no mud. Great, balanced cleans and it takes overdrive very well.
