It's more than just a guitar; it's a testament to over 35 years of Eddie Van Halen's expertise and experience in guitar design. The EVH Wolfgang USA Electric Guitar, complete with a sleek ebony fretboard and encased in a stylish stealth black finish, is the result of a meticulous two-year development process filled with rigorous trial-and-error research. This modern, high-quality instrument is not just a product, but a series of prototypes that have withstood a year of demanding in-concert road testing during Van Halen's successful world tour from 2007 to 2008. The outcome A robust, tonally superior guitar that not only withstands the rigors of intense performances but craves more. As the tour commenced in fall 2007, Eddie Van Halen put the Wolfgang's performance capabilities to the ultimate test. He played various Wolfgang prototypes on virtually every song, every night, refining components and specifications until he achieved the perfect balance of sound, feel, and aesthetics. To ensure the Wolfgang was road-ready and durable, performance data was collected from every gig for months, establishing and confirming its consistency and resilience. This rigorous process is what makes the Wolfgang the epitome of Eddie Van Halen's relentless pursuit of exceptional tone, durability, and consistency. Launched to the public in January 2009, the EVH Wolfgang guitar is built to Eddie's exact specifications, mirroring every feature of the Wolfgang guitars he plays onstage and in the studio. As Eddie Van Halen himself said, "Everything that I've built, destroyed, stumbled onto, learned and experienced is in this guitar." Every aspect of this elegant instrument has been scrutinized and enhanced to the highest standards possible. It boasts stainless steel frets, double-potted custom-wound pickups, five-piece binding on the matching body and headstock, custom-made signature tuning machines, a Floyd Rose bridge, and new low-friction pots. No stone has been left unturned in the creation of this musical masterpiece. The EVH Wolfgang USA Electric Guitar is not just a guitar; it's a piece of music history.
