I am selling my 1983 USA Hamer Special. It has the original DiMarzio zebra pickups and original Hamer electronics including pots stamped Hamer. I have it wired for 1 vol and 1 tone, with the middle pot not connected.It has new exact replacememt Shaller tuners and the original string though adjustable Hamer sustain block bridge.
The headstock cracked and was just repaired by Lenny Brooks, Dickie Betts' guitar tech. He also did a full set up on it. It plays like a dream.
It was originally a pale yellow color, but I sanded to bare wood and coated with @ 10 coats (maybe more) of Tru-Oil gunstock finish many years ago. I didn't give it enough time to dry so there are a few scratches, but this was done years ago so the guitar would buff out very nicely now. Look online for some awesome Tru-Oil guitar finishes.
I will ship it in an old Epiphone hard shell case, but be aware that without the packing material the case doesn't fit the guitar well
