This is 1 beautiful early issue Barney Kessel Artist model by Kay in its earliest days from the late 50’s when guitar gods of their day had their own specific models, it has a gorgeous Blonde finish with a border of B & W bindings on all edges of its body that is very elegant, its fat maple neck feels perfect & its pretty bound fingerboard has large white block inlays, its “Kelvinator” Luncheonette headstock is gorgeous & has factory pat. pend. nickel Grover tuners, its original “Kleenex Box” humbucker sounds incredible & makes this 1 user friendly axe, she sports a cool Melita bridge & Kay’s criss-cross tailpiece, lastly its groovy Silver Lucite pickgard brings this bad boy all tother, this is a very fancy model, it is all original, excellent overall & comes in a modern high line hard case.
