If you’re looking for a 335 or a starfire with vibe this is a good one to check out. It’s got plenty of visual vibe from the honest wear and some Heavy 3D moving flame.
It’s a Fantastic guitar, one of the last couple years for Guild in the Rhode Island era. Guild’s version of the 335. This guitar has been played. It’s got plenty of dings, chips and surface marks. All the abuse happened well before I bought it 15 years ago.
The Tuners were swapped out at one point, but the Original Grover’s are back on the guitar now. I put a Bone nut and new frets on it when I bought it. The frets are still super fresh with extremely low action (1mm @ 12th fret) with zero buzz or fret choke.
The marks around the switch jack are not breaks but some sort of scratches. The switch is NOT crushed Into the top in any way. The guitar has been super stable and has only seen studio use since I’ve had it
Comfortable C shaped mahogany/maple/mahogany neck. Not too skinny not too fat.
Pickups and pots are original and are smooth and work great. These HB1 pickups are the better Duncan made ones. Made with the original correct guild oversized bobbins and baseplates. Not the smaller pickups stuffed into the larger covers.
Weighs right around 8 lbs and ships in the original leather guild hard case.
Incredible flame and mineral streaking on top and back. Hard to show in pics, but it’s very Flamey!!! Plays great. Sounds great. I’ve got a handful of semi hollow guitars and I’m only selling this to help fund a specific project.
