1998 McCollum Custom Double Neck An extremely rare and desirable guitar built by noted luthier Lance
McCollum for Blue Note recording artist Richard Leo Johnson. From what
we know there were only a few of these made. Beautiful Claro walnut back and sides with beautifully aged Sitka spruce top.
Only repairs noted per Richard: Lance fixed a very thin separating on the top beneath the saddles (shown in pic).There was another crack on the back from an airline mishap..(in pic) but he checked it and said just leave it alone…nothing has changed with either one of these dings or cracks for nearly 20 years. NOTE: (A plastic access door was installed on the guitar's bottom (near end pin) to allow access to specialized electronics that have since been removed.)
Includes a custom-built Anvil-type flight case that protected this guitar during many trips around the globe. NOTE: If actual shipping is less we will adjust the total.
