Alesis DM5 OS 1.02 EPROM Firmware Upgrade KIT / New ROM Final Update Chip

• This version 1.02 is the latest operating system firmware issued by Alesis for the DM5.
• Included will be 1 new ATMEL EPROM chip to complete the upgrade.

Keepin mind that the DM5 itself is not for sale, only the EPROM upgrade chip is.

• This upgrade has only been verified to be compatible with the DM5 and not the DM5 Pro unit.
• Before purchasing, please check which version is currently installed in your DM5: Select “Drum SET” mode and then press both cursor LEFT and RIGHT simultaneously. You should then see the version number displayed.
• DM5 units produced from 2004 and onward use a newer revision mainboard layout that is not compatible with earlier revisions. This also means there is no conventional 28 pin dip socket to plug the EPROM upgrade chip in to.
• This version 1.02 upgrade is serves as a supplemental release, intended to iron out any remaining kinks affecting general stability, bugs and improve performance within the firmware code. This update also aims to resolve issues that some users have experienced with sending sysex data to the DM5 unit.
