KYSER "SHORTCUT" PARTIAL CAPO
Limited edition - Green finish
In 1976 Guitarist Harvey
Reid began toying with a new idea - a capo that would cover just some
of the strings. 30-odd years on the rest of the world is finally
catching up
The Kyser shortcut is
based on the Kyser Quickchange, the world's best selling capo, but only
covers 3 strings (5, 4 and 3 or 4, 3 and 2)
With this simple, yet
incredibly versatile device you can produce instant open tuning
effects, simple 1 and 2-finger chord shapes for beginners, a whole new
world of sounds and textures, without leaving standard tuning or
learning new fingerings!
A
couple of basic examples include: Capo placed at fret 2 covering
strings 3, 4 and 5. This produces an Esus4 chord, effectively the same
as DADGAD tuning up 1 tone, but without retuning! Or place at fret 2
covering strings 2, 3 and 4 to produce a virtual open A tuning.
