The neck profile is very much a product of its heritage but the 9.25" radius & PLEKed heavy frets make it a much easier to play instrument than it's vintage counterparts. The swamp ash body & maple fingerboard provide the classic 1-2 punch of big controlled bottom end, slightly scooped upper mids & ferocious snap. At 9 pounds 5 ounces it's right in the sweet spot for maximum punch.The preamp sounds great & has good headroom. It is also quite flexible & easy to use. The Humphrey pickups are dead quiet but retain that old school single coil tone. This bass sounds every bit as good as it looks.
