Up for sale is this vintage 1960's Framus Attila Zoller 5/67 AZ-10 electric acoustic archtop guitar. This is a very rare Framus model and they very, very rarely show up on the market. Pair that with the fact that this is an amazing example of this particular instrument and you have a real winner!
This instrument appears to be all original. The original electronics have just been sprayed out and work as they should. The floating pickups on these instruments aren't very hot, but are GREAT for jazz playing. Cosmetically, the instrument is in very, very nice condition. There are some light dings and scuffs, but no major issues at all. The only major issue is that a name and design have been carved into the pickguard but, honestly, we find it pretty cool!
The original frets show wear, but still have a ton of life left in them. The guitar plays great with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck.
A period leather-type gig bag is included, which is super cool as well. The padding inside is starting to deteriorate a bit and leaves some dust on the guitar when it is removed. We hit it with a feather duster right before the photos and all of it came right off. Overall, this is a beautiful example of what may be the hardest Framus model to find.
