King Sousaphone, H.N. White Co. Cleveland. 1939 serial number as shown in photo. Please see photos to use as a guide regarding condition as the horn is well used, though certainly within the realm of repair by skilled technician. No holes in the metal I have found though dents abound. All valves still move freely and spring back.
The last three photos show the greatest areas of wear: large dent down the main tube before the bell so that the supporting stripe has disconnected along with a few places where welding will need done. A few other notes: one of the three bell screws is missing and a similar screw to attach mouthpiece will be needed. The bell itself is discolored on the inside, you can see it almost shaded gold as opposed the rest of the silver horn. The case is an old Humes and Berg fiber case and is structurally in good shape, though only one of the three leather straps is still in tact. This will ship in this fiber case via UPS.
Please ask any questions and I will do my best to answer. Sales will be final on this and photos serve as description of all issues of condition. Thanks for viewing.
