Okay here we go. John Du Cann, (guitarist of Andromeda and later Atomic Rooster fame) sadly passed away in September 2011. His guitar collection went to auction at TW Gaze Auction House in January 2012 fetching a whopping £47,000 and amongst them was this little beauty. The serial number L00455 dates it to 1963 but the neck stamp says 66 so make out of that what you will. The guitar has plenty of wear and tear and could certainly be classed a "Relic." The frets have some wear (see pic) but still plenty of life left in them and it sounds great. The most amazing thing about this guitar is its weight, or rather lack of it, it is the lightest Tele I have ever picked up by far. Have a look at the pics and judge for yourself and any questions please message me. The guitar will come with its certificate of authenticity.
