Flickinger 419 pultec eq with mic pre 1970's Pultec blue

Up for sale are very rare flickinger 419 pultec style eq’s. To be honest I didn’t know that this style eq ever made it into another console but the one from the association that is for sale and Jimi Hendrix’s 16 channel console at the rock and roll HOF seems to feature a mic pre and eq as the ones that are racked here.

These eq’s are all discrete. And feature utc iron including the mythical utc choke.

The 535 opamp is unpotted and built into the boards. These eq’s have been loving racked and restored. I can tell you restoring and working on flickinger gear is a specialized deal and I went through many techs before this build was right.

The mic pres can be used separate from the eq’s or they can be used in series to create two channel strips. I built in a few extra features such as mic pre impedance, mic pre t pad and eq gain. This allows you to find many different sounds from this box by driving it at different points. The eq gain is also in the feedback circuit so it exaggerated the eq curve and makes the eq even more powerful.

The eq is warm and wide. It’s like the sound of an api 550 that works with the pultec curves. It is punchy and thick.
