Adding just the right sound to various activities and performances, this common belly and Indian dance accessory is very versatile and can be worn on your ankles or wrists and can also hang on drums. Each red fabric pad is equipped with three rows of 30, 5/8" brass bells, 60 bells in total, producing some very powerful jingles. Each pad has cushioning inside and you can tie each one around your ankle with attached cord. Ankle bells as traditionally used in the North Indian style of dance called Kathak. The Karthak dance evolved from the nomadic bards of ancient northern India, known as Kathakars or storytellers. Over the centuries, Kathak dance incorperted dance elements from Persia and Central Asian; today it is a rich art form with traces of Tribal, bhakti, temple and ritual movement. The brass bells are from the Northern Indian State of Uttar Pradesh, which is well known for quality brass manufacturers. Features: Brand New!
