2009 was a very good year for the Gibson Custom shop, in that, that year denotes the 50th Anniversary of the 1959 ! 2009 was a great year for the Gibson Custom shop. As 2009 denotes the 50th Anniversary of the Gibson LP. They only made a hand full of these. I believe they made 50. So not many of these 50th Anniversary guitars were produced, in 2009.

With the addition of wider frets came the ability to bend notes with the greatest of ease. So you had players like Eric Clapton, Mike Bloomfield, Peter Green. All of them gravitated towards this Quintessential LP with wider & thicker frets.
The Gibson Custom shop using the Traditional methods, mixed with modern Technology, The Gibson shop they achieved building a guitar that with virtually the same specs as the original 1959 LP. A virtual Carbon Copy!  
A incredibly beautiful Gibson LP, with A faded Quilted maple top & amazing tones that you don't find in every LP. Crafted & made to order with a Solid Mahagony back, Historically long neck tenon, built for superior strength.    The neck profile is period correct. Not to mention its maple cap front which is totally amazing!
Comes with the original case & the Original Pick guard. A couple darker wood colors are seen on or around Cow boy chord location. probably visible on the fret board. Hardly noticeable. Looks like it might be Brazilian   Rosewood Because of the different colorations. Could be Something Else, just not 100% sure. seems to be only 50 of these Faded Maple leaf guitars produced, according to an expert appraiser who looked at this guitar. There is a couple small pin shape nicks here & there that are on the guitar, as well.  
A awesome guitar & surely this is a collectors investment type of guitar, although, it should be played & loved & cherished by a player. Here is the Specs on this beauty!!!
