About This Listing

This listing is for a 2004 Fender AVRI '62 stratocaster replacement neck (MIA).

These necks were made by Fender USA in a limited batch around the early 2000s, and represent the only period where Fender USA themselves have made production replacement parts. It has an embossed Fender replacement seal on the rear of the headstock, verifying its authenticity.

It is one piece maple with a dark slab rosewood fretboard that has a touch of maroon to it, made in the USA. It is beautiful quality and plays like a dream, with a vintage medium "C" profile, classic 7.25" radius fretboard, and vintage style frets. The tuning machines are high quality Fender/Gotoh vintage style, as would be found on production AVRI instruments. The finish is a thin vintage nitrocellulose laquer, rather than the modern polyurethane coating. This neck will age and sing like a classic.

The neck is in fantasic shape - straight as an arrow and truss rod in perfect order. Plenty of life left in the frets. Only a couple minor cosmetic nicks

Neck: Vintage medium "C" maple

Fretboard: Dark rosewood 7.25" radius slab

Frets: Small vintage style
