About This Listing

This is a very cool short scale (22 1/2") lap slide built by Bill Asher. It has a dual pickup system.  An actual Ric vintage Horseshoe pickup, and a stacked double coil in the fretboard.  The two toggle switches on the top control the following: The larger switch will engage either pickup individually or both together.  The smaller one will engage or disengage the noise cancelling coil, allowing for a single or double coil tone. This makes for some diverse variations in tone and sound. It can be warm and mellow and it can be bright and edgy, as well as in between.  The tuning machines have been changed to Klusen style, and work perfectly.  As with all Asher instruments, attention to detail, workmanship, and performance are top notch. If you are looking for an instrument to play all things slide, from sweet Hawaiian melodies to blues to overdriven rock, this is a great choice.  It comes with a beautiful leather Reunion Blues gig bag.  Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
