This custom one of a kind Benavente 2K Custom guitar was built in 2010 and has had a single owner since its construction where it spent about 90 percent of its life in the case stored in a closet. The owner brought it to me and asked me to go through it thoroughly and then sell it for him. This guitar is in great shape for being 9 years old. Its more like new old stock vs used. The is only one tiny little dent on the back but it's under and 1/8" in size and did not crack the finish. Also, the Mastodon tusk tuning keys are showing signs of light checking as the ivory was not conditioned during storage. The case does have a few nicks in various places but the tolex is not peeling anywhere. I asked Larry Robinson of Robinson Custom Inlays to do the inlay as I feel he's the best in the biz. He did a fantastic job of creating the T-Rex inlay. This guitar feels great in the hands and is a lot of fun to play. The Tom Anderson pickups sound amazing in this guitar as well. Crystal clear clean tones and get nice and crunchy without any mud. This is a beautiful piece of playable art that I will not be duplicating ever.
