The Telefunken Elektroakustik M80SH Shorty Dynamic Microphone is simply a chopped down and shorter version of the extremely popular M80 and is ideal for tight-fit applications.

Now lighter, shorter, and sleeker than ever, the M80SH delivers improved performance and modernized styling, with a 40% reduction in overall weight, a 10% shorter length, vibration-dampening technology, and finishes matched to our handheld microphones. Updated for 2026, this set a new standard for low-profile dynamic microphones and offer enhanced stability, refined aesthetics, and updated packaging for a premium experience on stage and in the studio. The compact footprint of the M80SH makes it ideal for tight-fit applications such as drums and guitar amps on stage, as well as vocal positions for drummers and keyboard players where a full-size microphone may be obstructive. It delivers the same character and high-SPL handling as its handheld counterparts, with a natural, condenser-like response and subtle high-frequency rise, while its supercardioid pickup pattern minimizes proximity effect and provides superior off-axis rejection.
