Want a FAT mid and a sparkling high end to go with the JJ EL844 sound? This is our Low Output ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Dr. Z Maz 18 Heads and Combo Amps. It contains a premium matched pair of JJ EL844's for power to drop the overall output a couple decibels, a JJ GZ34 rectifier tube, a standard JJ ECC81 to replace the 12AT7 in V3, a Long Plate ECC803S for V1 along with three JJ ECC83S's with one being current balanced for the phase inverter in V5.
This Retube Kit is plug and play with no bias worries. The EL844 is a completely different tube than the stock tube your amp came with. The JJ EL844's are a proprietary tube that JJ Electronic built at the request of Eurotubes.
The dissipation of the JJ EL844 is 25% less than a standard EL84 so using the EL844 will reduce the power a little in your amp.
Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
