We got this banjo from the original owner who bought it direct from Richard Keldson when he first started importing Gold Stars. This guy wanted this particular banjo but with a flat head ring so Richard sold him a flat head ring to install, which he did. So, even though the banjo didn't leave the factory with this ring, it is an original '77 Gold Star flat head tone ring and has spent virtually it's entire life with this ring. We will include the factory original archtop ring as well.
