Near MINT original BBC Coles STC 4038 1962 black ribbon mic microphone + wooden box early s/n 366

This is a BEAUTIFUL sounding and near MINT condition original RARE STC Coles BBC 4038 bi-directional ribbon mic that includes it’s original wooden box, STC to XLR adaptor, STC cable connector PLUS very rare set of keys for the original wooden box!!! What’s more, it is a very low serial number (366)

Please have a good look at the photos, as you can see it is in amazing condition for it’s age. It has been privately owned for many years by ex-BBC engineer who hand picked this one out of the whole OB selection a very long time ago. Apart from it sounding superb, he picked this one because it was one of the cleanest ones in the store and if you look at the pics I think you will agree…

There is just a small amount of corrosion on the round part of the body but I am sure this ca be removed with the right application of something.. No dents, no dings, never been dropped and I do not think you will find a better all original vintage STC Coles.

Output is good, ribbon is good and when you plug these in you can hear what the fuss is about. This is one smooth, responsive mic that has warmth and fatness in abundance. This is a true classic which has gained price over the years and for good reason, it really is an exceptional sounding mic.
