1986 G&L Skyhawk in excellent vintage condition! This a great sounding electric guitar, made in the USA during Leo Fender's time at G&L. All G&L guitars and basses made during this time were of the highest craftsmanship, with some even comparing the quality to that of Fender instruments made in the 50's and 60's!
This Skyhawk is a strat-style guitar with three MFD pickups specially designed by Leo Fender. They sound incredible! Bright, with a rounded bottom end. Individual tone controls for bass and treble make tonal possibilities endless. The body looks to be ash. There are some chips and scuffs expected of a thirty-year-old guitar, but the finish looks beautiful to me; you be the judge. The fretboard is ebony and frets are in great condition. It came with the optional Kahler locking tremolo at the time and tuning stability is fantastic, however the locking system has been bypassed by a previous owner (easier to change strings). May have had replaced tuners at one point, but the original tuners were on there when I bought it. Comes with original hard shell case.
This is a truly awesome vintage American guitar and you won't be disappointed!
