A peerless example of vintage Fender craftsmanship, this 1954 Stratocaster is a rare find.

Assembled by Gloria on 6/17/54 (as evidenced by a masking tape label in the control cavity), this guitar definitely belonged to a player who appreciated it. The original nut was replaced with a slightly narrower 1 19/32” nut and is included in the case. Almost everything else—the wiring, the pots dated to the 41st week of 1953, the deluxe Kluson tuning machines, single-ply white pickguard and knobs—is original.

Since this instrument was actually used on stage there is minor wear, including some touchups to the classic 2-Color Sunburst finish, a replaced tremolo spring cavity cover, new tremolo spring claw screw, replaced surgical tubing for pickup height adjustment, a new strap button mounting screw and some new saddle height adjustment screws.

This actual 1954 Stratocaster weighs 8.78 lbs / 3.98 kilos.
