The Music Traders is an authorized dealer for Washburn Instruments.
Commemorating 135 years as one of America's oldest guitar brands, Washburn has built 135 commemorative limited edition models in the Washburn US Custom Shop based on its 1937 5246 Dreadnought. These 135 instruments will be serialized starting from year 1883 and ending with year 2018.
THIS INSTRUMENT IS SERIAL NUMBER 1884! The first one available for sale as Washburn has the 1st one in a display case in the Washburn holy land!
The Washburn Revival Series Solo Dreadnought 135th Anniversary (RSD135-D) is made in the U.S.A. at Washburn's custom shop and features a body shape resulting from a direct tracing of the 1937 #5244 Solo Dreadnought. Sonically, the 135 is a loud, rich guitar benefi ting from its Solid Sitka Spruce with scalloped-X "Moonwood" European Spruce bracing paired with African Mahogany, as well as its bone nut and saddle. Cosmetically it draws inspiration from the original #5244/5246 with a Washburn "smile" bridge, Revival '30s style headstock and Solo Dreadnought tortoise pickguard. Optimizing player comfort was considered on the 135 pairing this vintage creation with a modern narrow-C shaped neck and Graphtech Ratio-Tuned tuning machines.
