For sale is my customized Slammer Special 2. Now even though the name doesn't scream quality this is a solid axe. It's got a maple neck and flame top, along with a rosewood fretboard. The neck is straight and plays fast, and the finish is gorgeous. The part where it shines are the new electronics. I installed a GFS Dream 180 humbucker in the neck, giving it rich and sparkly cleans that are even suitable for jazz. The pickup can easily be coil tapped with a push pull pot. In the bridge is a GFS Mean 90, which is a P-90 pickup routed for a humbucker. There is some slight suffing on the pickup and screws around it, but nothing that affects functionality or integrity in anyway. The Mean 90 straight up SCREAMS, when played with a blues driver at three oclock the chords go into serious crunch territory, and lead tones compress into ballsy beauty. The tremolo is also from GFS, and is very touch sensitive. Surprisingly enough I can dive bomb with it and snap back into key without tuning issues. The two pickups and tremolo unit alone are worth $120. The two noteworthy points of the guitar are A. it had a pickguard that I remove, but the holes remain if you wish to install one, and B. the bridge does need some innotating, but thats just a simple task of readjusting some screws. Regardless, this guitar is a workhorse, I've gigged it with multiple times and beat on it to no issue.
