Carr Rambler Gold Pin Option JJ Retube(TM) Kit with 5881's

If you don't like much grit in your tone and you're after a very smooth and rich sound then this kit will do it. This is our Gold Pin Option Retube Kit for the Carr Rambler with JJ 5881's. It uses three Gold Pin ECC83S's to replace the 12AX7's along with a Gold Pin ECC81 for V2.

The power tubes are the JJ Electronic 5881's which are a classic 23 watt 5881 in a traditional stubby bottle. They have "Jangle" for days! Right in-between the JJ 6L6GC and the JJ 6V6S in power. If you're looking for that early-breakup "tweed" era character these are it.

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
