Carr Raleigh "Low Output" Gold Pin Option JJ Retube(TM) Kit

If you like your distortion very smooth without a gritty edge then the Gold Pin kit may be just what you need. This kit uses a premium tested JJ Electronic EL844 for reduced power and two low noise / low microphonic Gold Pin ECC83S's. The Gold Pin tubes are a little richer and smoother sounding.

The EL844 is a completely different tube than the stock tube your amp came with. The JJ EL844's are a proprietary tube that JJ Electronic built at the request of Eurotubes. They dissipate 9 watts so we recommend setting the bias at 22mV.

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
