This is our ECC803S V1 Option Retube Kit for the Carr Mercury. It contains a Long Plate ECC803S for V1, an ECC81 for V2 and an ECC83S for V3. The ECC803S Long Plate tubes have cool vintage vibe with a great high end sparkle and big warm mids!
The power tube is a premium tested JJ Electronic KT66. The JJ KT66's have that classic British flavor. They have a very thick and rich sound with lots of harmonic complexity and a wonderfully smooth breakup when driven into saturation.
Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
The video below shows both our preamp tube testing and power tube matching procedures here at Eurotubes which are second to none. We may not be the cheapest, but we are arguably the best.
