Here's a 1984 Mosrite VIII model made by Semie Moseley in Jonas Ridge, NC, otherwise known as the "American Model" serial NC XX0 S.
There's less than 40 of these in circulation according to a Mosrite Forum post from 2008 so that makes them even more rare than those famous "Ventures II" slab models but Johnny Ramone never played one so there you go.

Not a museum piece but nothing more than some beautiful checking on the nitro painted body after some good honest touring in the early 2000's. The wiring has been updated after some of the original switches weren't working as they should have but they will be included in the original hard shell case. New double action truss rod too as the original one didn't have enough scope for tightening. Nothing structural has been touched, the new one fitted right in the neck channel.

The thing that sets apart this guitar is the neck made and signed by Semie Moseley on the back of the headstock, I've had a few Mosrites in my time but none of them have had such a beautiful figured maple. I tried to capture that with the camera on my phone but honestly it has to be seen in person, just gorgeous. Also this is the only Mosrite neck I've ever come across with a scarf joint construction. You can clearly see where the extra piece has been glued in at the back of the head from one of the pictures. Semie must have loved this piece of maple. Or probably he was too broke to throw it away, remember this was made not too long after his factory burned down in 1983. Go figure.
Buyers from outside of the EU be aware of the fact that the Swedish office responsible for issuing CITES certificates takes roughly a month to process requests so I won't be able to ship this guitar before I have the details of the buyer written on the aforementioned request. Buyers within the EU won't need a CITES so I can ship right away.
