Kramer Assault 220 Plus EMG
The Kramer Assault 220 Plus EMG is for you shredders and hard rockers that want all the firepower you need for shredding and power playing, but in a single cutaway body. Kramer has added the EMG model to the popular Assault 220 family for you players out there that want all the features the Assault 220 has, but with a pair of active EMG 81/85 humbuckers that you can rock the house down with. The glued-in mahogany neck lets the neck and body function as though it is one piece of wood, resulting in amazing tones and sustains. The maple top/mahogany body tonewood combination has become legendary for good reason. By blending the warmth, depth and creamy low-end response of mahogany with maple's high-frequency clarity and articulation, the Assualt 220 Plus covers all the sonic bases with ease. The Assault 220 Plus also has the 25 1/2" scale that many shredders prefer, which offers tight, thumping lows, crystal clear highs, and shimmering harmonics. Add in the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system and you have an axe that has it all!
When I tested this guitar I was really impressed with how versatile it is. If you want speed, lead, crunch and chunk it is all there, but it can also deliver when you want a sweeter, more mellow tone. The sustain hangs on forever. This is one very versatile guitar.
What was refurbished on this guitar?
This guitar was sent to the refurbisher because one of the pots was not working. It has been replaced, and there are no other issues. I do not have the 2 hex wrenches.
