Bruce Egnater design analog tube preamp, active EQ w/parametric mids, three channels MIDI switchable/programmable. Clean, classic gain and over the top high gain, rocktron's built-in HUSH noise reduction system.
Used by Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and countless others for live and recording, built like a tank.
The Piranha does sweet cleans, classic marshall plexi to hot rodded JCM800 on steroids, to heavy mesa recto tones! No other analog/tube preamp can cover the sonic ground this one can due to it's powerful active EQ with parametric sweep-able mids. Check out the You Tube VDO demo I have included here! And this tone monster is in great condition and at a great price! I actually had 3 of these preamps and have sold one, and one I will keep for myself! These Rocktron units are bulletproof and I have never had an issue with any of them, so one is enough for me.
