Sontronics pair of STC-1 microphones are laboratory matched as a stereo pair and areideal for use on acoustic guitar and other strummed instruments (such as banjo, bouzouki, sitar, etc) as well as piano, strings, wind or brass ensemble, drumkit, choirs and backing vocals. They also sound fantastic when used as overheads or for room miking.

Thanks to their three-stage pad and filter switches and Sontronics signature super-smooth high-frequency roll-off, the STC-1S pair are extremely versatile and give outstanding results, regularly outclassing microphones that cost many times more!

The STC-1S mics will give a touch of class to any stereo miking application and when teamed up with our optional , the STC-1S set becomes an extremely flexible and powerful tool.

The Sontronics STC-1S pair are supplied in a luxury velvet-lined wooden case along with their adjustable stereo mounting bar, two mic clips and two foam windshields.

To further enhance their already incredibly flexible Sontronics STC-1 instrument cardioid condenser mic, individual omni-directional capsule are also available in the shape of the Sontronics OMNI capsule.

If you have critical recording applications that dictate the need for a specific pickup response, then these capsules will do the job without complication. Simply unscrew the STC-1's standard cardioid capsule and screw on the new one… it really is as easy as that!

The capsule are also compatible with the Sontronics STC-1S matched pair, although with the OMNI capsule fitted, the microphones are no longer classed as 'matched'.
