I'm selling this early 90's (SLM didn't have an exact date) Korean made Alvarez 5237 as part of a collection reduction effort. I got it from a lady who bought it new in '93, tried to learn to play, lost interest and put it in the closet until she sold it to me a few months ago. It is in excellent condition. I've put new D'Addario EX16s on it I also replaced the plastic saddle with a Tusq one and removed the pick guard which was curling off. I was going to replace it but the book matched spruce looks so good I've left it as is. The back and sides are laminated maple. I'm not sure it shows in the pictures but the back laminate is book matched. The Koreans did fine work during this period and it shows in this guitar. The burst front, back and sides, not to mention the neck and headstock look superb.
Comes in the hard case pictured. It has a small puncture on the top hinge side. This did not affect the guitar, and it is still a very rugged, functional case. Thank you for your interest.
