This is a finely crafted open back cabinet by Greg Germino, it is visibly very sturdy and has been assembled with great attention to detail. The specs are as follows:
- 28" wide x 12" deep x 22" tall
- Made from 5/8" Baltic Birch ply with finger jointed corners.
- Stainless steel hardware throughout
- Vintage style salt and pepper basketweave grille cloth, obtained from the original UK supplier that made grille cloth for Marshall cabinets in the 60's and 70's
The speakers, which are non original to the cabinet, are a matching set of authentic vintage pre-rola Celestion Pulsonic G-12 H speakers. These are 8 Ohm speakers with a 30 Watt power capacity. The cone numbers read 7 102 003 and 38 102 003. These speakers both show a T number of T1234, and date codes KC21Q and KC22Q, which would date these speakers to October 21st and 22nd of 1970 according to the Celestion number code as explained in the book, "The History of Marshall", by Michael Doyle.
These speakers are from the original factory location in Thames Ditton, Surry as denoted on the label and visible in photos, and therefore "Pre-rola", placing them in the most coveted era of Celestion speaker production. This cabinet is set up to deliver an excellent vintage tone if paired with the proper head and looking a bit lonely without one. These fine Germino cabinets are the cream of the crop, tending to sell around the 500 dollar mark unloaded, and pre-rola Pulsonics tend to go for as much as that a peice, so what we are offering here might accurately be referred to as a screamin' deal!
