Takamine EG523SC Super Jumbo Electro Acoustic S/N: 5010860
Purchased in 2005 brand new from Dawsons Music in Manchester. According to the serial number, this guitar was built in 2001. Takamine also no longer make this model guitar. The guitar has only ever been used as a spare, it's never been used live...it's just been sitting in the hard case for years in my house. The hard case is made by Gator Cases and alone is worth around £120. The guitar itself has a few minor scratches but nothing major. It plays beautifully and I am incredibly sad to see this go but I just no longer have the use for it.
The Takamine EG523SC G Series super jumbo cutaway model features a solid spruce top and flame maple back and sides for a big, deep sound with plenty of power.
Takamine's TK-40 Preamplifier found on G-Series EG523 SC guitar features volume control, bass, middle and treble frequency slider controls, EQ bypass, a Notch Filter and a Mid Contour Switch. The Notch Filter acts as a feedback frequency limiter, reducing the chance of feedback by notching out the feedbacking frequency.
The TK-40 replaces the original TK-4N preamp found on older Takamine models.
