Offered for sale is this beautiful vintage silver face Fender Bandmaster Reverb head.
This 40 watt TFL5005D model dates back to late 1968/early 1969.
The serial number is A38424 and I’ve included pictures as well as articles on the subject of dating older Fender products in an attempt to properly identify when it was made.
Based on the attached article, the aluminum trim surrounding the grill cloth makes this a 68’. However the serial number on the chassis dates it to 69’.
Everything appears to be original in this amp including the tubes which are in surprisingly good shape. This amp apparently has had very little play time. The reverb and tremolo work perfectly and the original footswitch is included. The power cable has been updated to 3 prong.
Also for sale and listed on Reverb is the matching 2X12 cabinet and is paired with this head but due to the size of the cabinet, it is local pick up only.
