About This Listing

Hi All.

Hey, there’s been a lot of interest in this guitar. As a result, I’m getting a lot requests for trades and the perennial low-ball, unsolicited offers. Please do not send me requests for trades or offers. I’m not interested in trades, and I’m firm on the price. I reserve the right to ignore soliciting. Hope you understand and cooperate.

Note: You can finance the purchase of this item item with Affirm, which is now one of the payment options. With Affirm, you have the option to purchase it with 0% financing (if you qualify). I would turn on that option upon request. I would have to apply a 3.1% increase to the price to compensate for additional fee Reverb imposes.

Please check my feedback as a seller on eBay as well for additional reference; member name, “thedevilstone.”

Now the main attraction:

This listing is for a Fender Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster NOS "Time Machine" reissue in very good to excellent condition.

Manufactured at the turn of the millennium, June of 2000 CE.

• Rare, beautiful Daphne Blue finish
• Figured Maple neck
• Natural time relicing gives it the vintage looks (without the relicing cost)
• Newly reissued COA (with inspection service payment receipt)
• Fender Tweed hardshell case in excellent condition

Please read this listing in its entirety.

I'm listing it as "very good" because of various cosmetic imperfections to the finish, all superficial.  The wood of the body itself is absolutely intact.  These cosmetic imperfections are natural "relicing" that add character, individuality and a vintage look to the guitar.

You will see various superficial dings and some spots of discoloration or "yellowing" of the finish on the front and bottom edge.  Fender goes through a long, complex and expensive process of relicing its guitars to look like this.  Here, this process has occurred naturally, with time.

The guitar is in excellent functional condition.

The Certificate of Authenticity (COA) shows a date of  02/14/2019.  This is a reissue of the COA, since the original one was lost.  I brought the guitar to a local authorized Fender dealer who inspected and took pictures of the guitar and sent them to Fender so Fender can verify the authenticity of the instrument.  I have the receipt for that service.  This is the only Fender Authorized Dealer in this region who provides this service because they are the only ones who staff a qualified and certified Fender technician. I have the service receipt, and I’ll include it.

I've never modified anything on/in this guitar except for the backplate.  I replaced the original white, single-ply plate with a genuine mint green Fender 3-Ply plate to match the mint green pick-guard.  It looks way better. The original is included.

I'm the second owner.  According to Fender, all parts are original.  The very recent inspection and reissuing of the COA adds assurance to this statement.

This particular 1960 Strat NOS features a beautiful figured Maple neck.  Please see pictures.

Original specs are listed below.

From Fender:

Fresh out of the Fender Custom Shop is the 1960 NOS Vintage Spec Strat. Featuring classic feel, iconic tone, and a Sonic Blue finish, it is meticulously-crafted to bring out its vintage vibe. There are very few Strats that are more faithful to the originals than this one. An alder body, quarter sawn maple neck, and vintage-style hardware provide solid feel and drive home its authentic aesthetics. However, aura is just one aspect of this 1960 NOS Strat. Three Custom Shop ‘60s Single-Coils deliver the classic jangle that made the Strat famous, and a ‘60s style oval “C” neck creates a welcoming feel for navigating its 21 vintage-style frets over a rich rosewood fingerboard. With its abundance of pleasing aesthetics, remarkable tone, and great feel and aura, this incredible Strat will be a welcome addition to any roster.
