Peavey XXX 40 & XXX 60 Combo Low Gain Option JJ Retube(TM) Kit with 6L6GC's

Want to tame the gain down a bit in the second and third channels? This is the Low Gain Option Retube Kit for the Peavey XXX 40 and XXX 60 Combo amps. The preamp section uses a standard ECC83S in V1, two ECC832's in V2 and V3 and a current balanced ECC83S in V4 for the phase inverter. The ECC832's drop the gain in the drive channels making it sound more open and natural, not to mention easier to control, and there is plenty left!

The power tubes are a premium matched pair of the JJ Electronic 6L6GCDM special "Double Mica" tubes. These are tubes made especially for Eurotubes with double mica spacers in the top to reduce tube rattle. The JJ 6L6GC's have big lows, smooth mids and crystalline highs. What sets them apart is their low end clarity, mid-range detail and very clear highs without being overbearing or harsh.

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
