If you've followed Melobar, you know that we are no longer in business and I'm just finishing up necks found in the "Barn Find".
Five of these necks were the original Mosrite of California built by Semie for my father Walt Smith (not part of the Rosac Necks on the Telobar and Tele models). The Mosrite bodies, pickups, hardware, etc. had been sold off to Mosrite collectors with just the necks left. I have reclaimed them, filling in the 9 key holes so they can be drilled for 6 or 7 string (as seen in video). And I hand routered the bodies to be similar to the original Mosrite but with Strat type carve outs to fit your body.
One of these Mosrite necks went to the 50 year Melobar anniversary guitar, three others have sold. Leaving this one. I'm selling it as a blank so it can go any direction you want.
Because it's the last Mosrite neck one, I'd like to make a point, I feel Melobar has the power to be a fierce blues rock guitar, and players are just missing it. Rusty Young with Poco introduced the world to Melobar playing great rock leads. My hope is there are players out there that take these last ones and show what they can do. My blog has pricing on finishing the guitar any way you want to go; melobarted.blogspot - or - DIY, and I'm glad to give you pointers and help.
What you are buying is the primered guitar shown in the first two photos.
