Here we have a beautiful 1950 Jago Peternella violin made in Venice Italy. It bears the makers label, and is made of medium-to-wide grain spruce. The back, neck and ribs are made of medium-to-fine flamed maple. The instrument is based off a Guarneri pattern. The varnish is reddish-orange with yellow undertones. The violin comes with a certificate from Sullivan Violins. Measurements: Back - 353mm, upper bout - 162mm, middle bout 113mm, lower bout 199mm. The sound is bright and resonant with lots of overtones and a sweetness you can only get from an Italian instrument. It is very easy to play and ideal for someone with smaller hands.
